ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (November 12, 2019) — The Tampa Bay United Rowdies U14 boys team will participate in the International Champions Cup Futures Tournament next month alongside academy teams from some of the world’s most famous clubs.
The tournament will be held December 11-15 at IMG Academy in Bradenton. In addition to the Rowdies, clubs with entrants in the tournament include FC Barcelona, PSG, Chivas, Real Madrid, Juventus, AS Roma, SL Benfica and Arsenal.
The Rowdies are in a group with Arsenal, AS Roma and Allstate Sueno Alianza. Each team will play three 50-minute matches in the group stage with penalty kicks if the match is tied. Teams will then be classified into either the Championship Bracket or the Trophy Bracket based on group stage standings.
