
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla – The Tampa Bay Rowdies announced today that the club has signed winger Nick Moon for the upcoming USL Championship season, pending league and federation approval.
Moon joins the Rowdies after spending the past two seasons with San Diego Loyal SC, earning 39 starts over 47 appearances in league play. The 27-year-old bagged three goals and six assists during his time with San Diego.
Born in Wisconsin, Moon played his collegiate soccer close to home at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. Following a four-year collegiate career, Moon signed his first professional contract with USL League One side Lansing Ignite, where he notched six goals and earned a spot on the USL League One All-League Second Team in 2019. From Lansing, Moon moved to Indy Eleven for a two-year stint in the Circle City. He left Indy having recorded five goals and six assists over 45 league appearances.
The Rowdies will open their eighth season in the USL Championship at home on Saturday, March 16 as they host San Antonio FC. Kickoff for the season opener is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.
