UPDATE: The Rowdies February 21 preseason match versus the University of Tampa has been canceled.
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla – The Tampa Bay Rowdies are set to play seven preseason matches in preparation for the upcoming 2024 USL Championship season. This year’s busy slate of preseason action includes competition from Major League Soccer, MLS Next Pro, and local NCAA programs.
Tampa Bay’s February 17 matchup versus CF Montreal at Al Lang Stadium will be open exclusively to Rowdies season ticket holders. Kickoff for the match is set for 7:30 p.m. ET. All other preseason matches this year will be closed to the public.
Along with Montreal, the Rowdies will play another MLS side when Atlanta United comes to Al Lang Stadium on Saturday, February 10. That meeting with Atlanta follows the preseason opener versus Philadelphia Union II at the Rowdies training facility on Friday, February 9.
On Wednesday, February 21 the Rowdies will match up against the University of Tampa followed by a meeting with the University of South Florida on Saturday, February 24. Both matches will be played at the Rowdies training facility.
To close out the preseason, the Rowdies will travel to face two MLS Next Pro sides, although they won’t have to go far to do so. On Friday, March 1, the Rowdies will square off against Huntsville City FC at IMG Academy in Bradenton. A week later, they will cross I-4 for their preseason finale versus Orlando City B on Friday, March 8.
The Rowdies will open the USL Championship regular season at home on Saturday, March 16 as they host San Antonio FC at 7:30 p.m. ET.
