ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (July 24, 2017) — Tampa Bay Rowdies center back Damion Lowe has helped Jamaica reach its second-consecutive CONCACAF Gold Cup Final, beating Mexico 1-0 in the semifinals Sunday night.
Lowe has played every minute of the tournament so far, with Jamaica conceding just two goals in five matches to reach the Final. He nearly scored the go-ahead goal for Jamaica in the 78th minute, heading a free kick on target, only for Mexico’s José Corona to make a diving save.
Jamaica will meet the United States in the Final on Wednesday night at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Kickoff is at 9:30 p.m. ET on FS1.
