ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (May 1, 2017) — Tampa Bay Rowdies fans have selected Joe Cole as their Man of the Match for his performance in Saturday’s 1-0 win over the Richmond Kickers.
Brown scored the only goal of the match with an acrobatic scissor kick in the 45th minute to help Tampa Bay break its winless streak. Brown’s goal earned the No. 1 spot on SportsCenter’s Top 10 on Saturday night.
The Jamaican forward started his fourth game of the season on Saturday night and scored his second goal, tied for second-best on the team with Joe Cole. Brown tallied two shots on the night, missing the target once and scoring once. He completed 17 passes at a clip of 70.6 percent.
This is Brown’s first Man of the Match selection this season.
