Following Tuesday night’s practice at Braden River Soccer Club, the Rowdies returned to Shimberg Fields late Wednesday morning for a two-hour workout.
“I think the session went very well this morning, especially with the effort of the players after the night practice,” said Rowdies head coach Ricky Hill.
The main focus of practice was on fitness and doing ballwork in groups and individually. The session included some technical work as well as some intensive 6v6 games followed by 3v3 games to conclude the practice.
“It was a tough morning and some of them might be a little sore tonight,” added Hill. “But the overall fitness level seems to be quite good at this early stage.”
The Rowdies will hold morning sessions again on Thursday and Friday. The Rowdies Rush 2012 Preseason Tour resumes this Saturday, March 10 when the Rowdies face Eckerd College at the Premier Sports Campus at Lakewood Ranch near Bradenton.
