This isn’t just a match day — it’s a celebration. A celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. Of culture. Of community. Of the sounds, tastes, and stories that make us feel at home. From the chants of the crowd to the vibrant music and delicious food, this event is a testament to the contributions of Hispanic communities to the beautiful game.
Siente el Sabor is where the savor of the game meets the flavor of Tampa Bay. It’s about bringing everyone to the table. Because when we share the flavor, we share the joy.
This year, the Tampa Bay Rowdies will host Hispanic Heritage Night, presented by Orlando Health, at Al Lang Stadium on Saturday, September 20 as they face off against North Carolina FC.
Along with all the excitement and fun of a usual Rowdies home match, fans can expect a variety of authentic experiences highlighting Hispanic Heritage.
- Featured local food trucks will be on site before the match, serving up delicious Latin American dishes next to the Fan Zone outside of Gate 2. Fans can enjoy offerings from Latin Lunch Box, Maxi Empanadas, and Johnny Nevada’s Tamales from 5:30 until 7:30 pm.
- Stop by the Fan Zone from 6:00-7:00 pm for a live salsa dancing performance.
- Rowdies players will take over the pre-match music inside the stadium with a curated playlist featuring some of their favorite Latin American songs. The Rowdies will also honor the heritage of the club’s players and front office staff by proudly displaying their home country’s flags in the stadium.
- Stay after the final whistle to catch a postmatch fireworks show from down on the field.

The September 20 match is also one of two matches where the Rowdies will be teaming up with Kemper Auto to host a soccer gear drive. Fans are asked to donate new or gently used gear oustide of Gate 2 before either match. All gear will be donated to the Hispanic Services Council in support of their work offering equal access and opportunities to Tampa Bay’s Hispanic community.
Requested donation items include: old uniforms, cleats (all sizes), shin guards, balls, new socks, goalkeeper gloves, water bottles, ball pumps.
