ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Tampa Bay Rowdies Forward Jürgen Locadia has been called up to the Curaçao Men’s National Team for the group stage of 2026-2027 Concacaf Nations League tournament.
The 2026–27 Concacaf Nations League, the fifth edition of the tournament, will serve as a qualifier for the 2027 Concacaf Gold Cup. Curaçao is set to compete in Group A of League A of the tournament, with the top two teams advancing to the Quarterfinals in November and the third and fourth place teams from group play earning a spot in the 2027 Gold Cup Preliminary Round.
Curaçao kicks off the group stage this Thursday, September 24 at 10 p.m. ET with a matchup against Costa Rica at Estadio Ricardo Saprissa Aymá in San Juan, Costa Rica. Following their opening match, Curaçao will host Nicaragua on Sunday, September 27 and Trinidad and Tobago on Thursday, October 1 at Ergilio Hato Stadium in Willemstad, Curaçao. They will square off with Trinidad and Tobago again at Hasely Crawford Stadium, Port of Spain in the final group stage match on Sunday, October 4.
Locadia has recorded 15 appearances for Curaçao since debuting for the country in 2023. He recorded seven appearances and two assists in the country’s successful run through qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The 32-year-old started all three matches for Curaçao during the country’s World Cup debut this summer.
Locadia recently joined the Rowdies via transfer from Miami FC, where he recorded 10 goals and two assists in all competitions. The 32-year-old attacker has made two appearances for the Rowdies since making the move across the Sunshine State, including a start in the club’s 4-0 victory over Birmingham Legion FC at Al Lang Stadium this past Saturday.
