ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The Tampa Bay Rowdies announced today that tickets are now on sale for the club’s opening match of the 2026 USL Championship Playoffs, set for Friday, October 30 at Al Lang Stadium in Downtown St. Petersburg.
The kickoff time and opponent for the Rowdies Eastern Conference Quarterfinal on October 30 will be confirmed at a later date.
Rowdies Season Ticket Members will be contacted directly by the Rowdies sales office with information on securing their tickets for the postseason matchup. The Rowdies make their return to the USL Championship playoffs after missing out on the postseason tournament last year for only the second time since joining the league in 2017. This weekend, the Rowdies posted their league-leading 14th shutout of the regular season to clinch a top-four finish in the Eastern Conference and hosting rights in the opening round of the playoffs for the first time since 2023.
The Rowdies currently sit first in the USL Championship regular season standings with 52 points earned through 26 matches. With four matches left to play before the start of the playoffs, the Rowdies are still aiming to secure the top seed in the conference and their second USL Championship Players’ Shield in club history. The winner of the Players’ Shield, awarded to the team with the best overall record in the regular season, is guaranteed home field advantage throughout the playoffs. The Rowdies can clinch the top seed in the Eastern Conference by earning seven points from their remaining regular season matches, while eight more points will lock up the Players’ Shield.
The top eight teams from each conference will qualify for this year’s USL Championship Playoffs, which will kick off with the Conference Quarterfinals on the final weekend of October. Teams will be placed in a fixed bracket for the single-elimination playoffs based on their position in their regular season standings. The postseason will conclude with the 2026 USL Championship Final on the penultimate weekend of November.
The Rowdies are back home at Al Lang Stadium to host Miami FC this Saturday, October 3 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
