Rowdies 2020 Season Updates

APRIL 30

The United Soccer League has extended its temporary suspension of the USL Championship season beyond May 10. The team training moratorium has also been extended through May 15, though the USL is also exploring scenarios that would allow for players to return to training facilities to conduct individual or small group work prior to May 15.

The 2020 USL League Two season has been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Rowdies U23s were set to participate in the league this summer.


APRIL 30

The Women's Premier Soccer League has canceled the summer 2020 season. The Rowdies Women were scheduled to debut in the league this summer. The WPSL is exploring the option of holding a season this coming fall if conditions allow.


APRIL 16

The United Soccer League has extended its moratorium on training through, and including, Sunday, May 3. Through that date, no USL Championship or USL League One team may conduct organized team training sessions.


APRIL 2

The United Soccer League has extended its moratorium on training through, and including, Sunday, April 19. Through that date, no USL Championship or USL League One team may conduct organized team training sessions.


March 20

The United Soccer League has extended its moratorium on training through, and including, Sunday, April 5. Through that date, no USL Championship or USL League One team may conduct organized team training sessions.


March 18

The United Soccer League has suspended play through Sunday, May 10 in accordance with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. 

In the meantime, please know that we are taking every measure to ensure that our players, staff and fans are safe, including transitioning our front office to work from home and practice aggressive social distancing, per advice from public health experts. We encourage everyone in our community to do the same. Here is our plan:


Frequently Asked Questions

1. When will the 2020 USL Championship season resume? 
The league office remains in close contact with the public health officials, as well as officials in other leagues, to determine when play might be able to resume. It will be no sooner than Monday, May 11th.  

2. If I have tickets to games that will not be played on the scheduled date will I be refunded for my purchase?
Your original tickets will be valid on the rescheduled date. Should the plan change, that update will be disseminated to ticket holders. 

3. Are the games cancelled? 
Every effort will be made to fit in a full 34-game regular season with 17 home games.

5. What happens to the tickets I have received through mail or email?
All tickets previously mailed or emailed out will scan in the same at the rescheduled match, the rescheduled match dates will not be reflected on the original ticket. 

6. What are the players doing, are they able to practice? 
At this point players are not training together as a team; they are following the social distancing recommendations. You can stay up to date with the players through their Social Media channels.


Season Ticket Holder FAQs

1. Will my last payment for my season tickets be taken out in April?
No, all final payments will be delayed until the season is resumed. We will notify you with two weeks notice in advance of charging your next payment.

2. How will my rescheduled match tickets in my Season Ticket plan be distributed once the new match dates are announced?
All tickets already mailed out will scan in the same at the rescheduled match, though the rescheduled match dates will not be reflected on the original ticket. Tickets can also be accessed through your MyProVenue account.

3. What if I can't attend one of the rescheduled matches?
You will be able to exchange tickets for the rescheduled match to any other match throughout the remainder of the season. This will not count against your standard three match exchange allotment.

4. Will my parking pass be good for the rescheduled match?
Yes, your pass will be valid for the rescheduled match date.

  • April 25
