By Rowdies Communications, 09/13/18, 12:15PM EDT

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (September 13, 2018) — The Rowdies are back at home for the first time in three weeks on Saturday night to host Atlanta United 2 at Al Lang Stadium. Tampa Bay badly needs a win to start a run to the USL Cup playoffs.

Here are a few of the big matches elsewhere in the Eastern Conference.

Saturday, 7:30 p.m. | thisTV Tampa Bay, ESPN+, 1250 WHNZ AM

Tampa Bay is coming off a narrow loss in Charleston last weekend but will look to bounce back against Atlanta at home. The Rowdies can’t afford to drop too many more points this season if they are to reach the playoffs.

Atlanta United 2 is all but eliminated from the playoff race, 16 points behind eighth-place Nashville SC, but is trending upward. Atlanta is unbeaten in its last three matches and has won back-to-back games. Atlanta won only three of its first 24 matches, but has suddenly picked up two in two games.

Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC vs. Louisville City FC
Saturday, 7 p.m. | ESPN+

Pittsburgh and Louisville both look likely to earn a top-four seed in the USL Cup Playoffs and a home game in the first round, so this game is all about seeding.

Penn FC vs. North Carolina FC
Sunday, 6 p.m. | ESPN+

Penn FC and North Carolina FC will meet in an interesting match between two teams fighting to get into the top eight. Penn is four points outside the field but has seven home games left out of seven. Penn has won three of its last four.

North Carolina has conceded at least two goals in each of its last five minutes, including a 3-3 draw with Nashville last weekend.
