ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (June 15, 2017) — The Tampa Bay Rowdies get back on the road this week for the first game of a three-game road trip that will keep the team away for the rest of the month. The Rowdies visit the Richmond Kickers at 7 p.m. on Saturday night in their first visit to Virginia’s capital.

Here’s some of the key matches taking place around the Eastern Conference this weekend…

Richmond Kickers vs. Tampa Bay Rowdies

Richmond fell to the bottom of the USL’s Eastern Conference this week with just 10 points from its 13 matches so far this season. The Kickers’ big problem so far has been scoring, with just eight goals this year.

The Rowdies’ are in the midst of a four-game winless streak, but still remain in second place in the Eastern Conference. Tampa Bay beat the Kickers 1-0 on April 29 in the teams’ only meeting this season.

Rochester Rhinos vs. Ottawa Fury FC

Rochester has slowly climbed up the table and now sits in fifth place in the East, unbeaten in eight matches in league play. The Rhinos are however coming off a 3-0 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup loss to the New England Revolution on Wednesday night.

Ottawa has moved its way into the projected playoff field, sitting in seventh place after a 1-0 win over the Harrisburg City Islanders last week.

FC Cincinnati vs. Charleston Battery

FC Cincinnati hosts its third game in a week having picked up a big Open Cup win over the Columbus Crew on Wednesday night, but now turns its sights toward taking on the Eastern Conference leaders.

Charleston was bounced from the Open Cup by Atlanta United FC on Wednesday night, but has been impressive in league play this season with a record of 8-3-2 (W-T-L) to lead the Eastern Conference.
