ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (May 8, 2017) — The Tampa Bay Rowdies posted their fifth clean sheet in eight matches to start the season Saturday afternoon with a 0-0 draw in Ottawa. The point kept the Rowdies near the top of the Eastern Conference standings.

Tampa Bay Rowdies 0 – 0 Ottawa Fury FC

Tampa Bay's Justin Chavez scored in the 4th minute, but the goal was eventually called off. Neither team would score again as Ottawa played to its second-consecutive 0-0 draw at home.
Charleston Battery 1 - 0 Bethlehem Steel
MUSC Health Stadium, Charleston, S.C.
The Battery's Ataulla Guerra scored the only goal of the match in the 17th minute as the Eastern Conference leaders picked up another win.
Richmond Kickers 1 - 1 FC Cincinnati
City Stadium, Richmond, Virginia
Fred Owusu Sekyere opened the scoring for Richmond in the 7th minute and the Kickers nearly maintained the scoreline until the end of the match. Jimmy McLaughlin equalized for FC Cincinnati in the 70th minute to help Cincinnati to a road point.
