Tampa Bay Rowdies 2 – 3 Charleston Battery
Al Lang Stadium, St. Petersburg, Florida
Tampa Bay led in the first half, but conceded twice in the final five minutes of the first half to trail 2-1 at halftime. Tampa Bay went to an all-out attack and leveled the match just after the hour mark and looked likely to score a winner before the Battery’s Brian Tah Anunga scored in the 89th minute.
FC Cincinnati 1 – 1 Louisville City FC
Nippert Stadium, Cincinnati, Ohio
Brian Ownby put Louisville City ahead in the 20th minute and the lead lasted for a long time until former Louisville midfielder Aodhan Quinn equalized for Cincinnati in the 78th minute. Cincinnati forward Djiby Fall was shown a red card in the 87th minute, the third time in four matches Cincinnati has had a player dismissed.
Saint Louis FC 1 – 2 Charlotte Independence
Toyota Stadium, Saint Louis, Missouri
Saint Louis started the match well, scoring in the 4th minute, but Charlotte stormed back to take 2-1 lead within 25 minutes and never looked back, securing the Independence’s first win of the season.
