Rowdies Notes
Tampa Bay is coming off its first loss of the season, a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Louisville City FC in Kentucky on Saturday night. Prior to that match, the Rowdies had won three consecutive matches with a clean sheet in each. Tampa Bay conceded its first goal of the season in the 22nd minute to George Davis IV and looked threatening late in the match when Cameron Lancaster doubled Louisville City’s lead in the 87th minute. Tampa Bay didn’t give up though, with Martin Paterson scoring in the 89th minute to halve the deficit before running out of time.

Paterson entered the match in the 79th minute and scored 10 minutes later, because the second Rowdies forward this season to score within 10 minutes of making his Tampa Bay debut. Deshorn Brown made his debut as a second-half substitute against Toronto FC II on April 1 and scored within four minutes.

Goalkeeper Akira Fitzgerald left the Louisville City match injured after only 16 minutes on Saturday. Matt Pickens entered the match as a substitute in his 2017 debut.

Tampa Bay and FC Cincinnati have met once before, a 1-0 Rowdies win in the Third Round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup last season. Georgi Hristov scored the only goal of the match in the 11th minute.

Scouting FC Cincinnati
FC Cincinnati has been a little inconsistent to start 2017, alternating wins and losses in its four games so far this season. Cincinnati is coming off a 4-0 win over Saint Louis FC in its home opener last weekend.

FCC forward Djiby Fall scored all four goals in the win last week, running his total to six this season, and was named USL Player of the Week on Tuesday afternoon. Fall is averaging a goal every 58 minutes so far this season.

FC Cincinnati set a new USL home opener attendance record last week with 23,144 fans in attendance for FCC’s home debut. The largest crowd the Rowdies have ever played in front of in the Modern Era was 13,034 fans in a 2010 match in Montreal.
