Kyle Porter signed with the Tampa Bay Rowdies on March 15, 2017.
Born in Toronto and raised in the Vancouver Whitecaps residency program, Porter made his professional debut on loan from Vancouver to Energie Cottbus in the German fourth tier as an 18-year old. He returned to North America and made one appearance for the Whitecaps in 2010 before joining FC Edmonton for the 2011 and 2012 seasons, where he made 47 appearances and scored 12 goals.
Porter then spent two years in Major League Soccer with D.C. United, scoring three goals in 32 appearances, plus a short 6-game loan spell to the USL’s Richmond Kickers that saw him score four goals.
In 2015, Porter joined the Atlanta Silverbacks and played in all but one match that season before joining Ottawa and playing in 15 matches for the Fury last season.
Porter made his senior international debut for Canada in 2013 and has earned seven caps. He was a member of Canada’s 2013 Gold Cup squad.
