ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (October 6, 2017) — The Tampa Bay Rowdies are crossing conference lines for the first time this season, visiting the Western Conference’s San Antonio FC on Saturday night in an intriguing East vs. West clash.

Here’s a look at some of the key matches around the United Soccer League this weekend…

San Antonio FC finds itself at the bottom of a three-way tie for second place in the Western Conference and could use a win to secure as high a seed as possible.

The Rowdies have booked their place in the playoffs and sit in second place with two matches to go, but the fight for seeding remains tight. A Rowdies win, paired with other results elsewhere this weekend could see the Rowdies clinch a home game or more this weekend.

Charleston Battery vs. Harrisburg City Islanders
Saturday, 7 p.m. | WATCH HERE

Charleston is tied with Charlotte for third place in the Eastern Conference with both clubs one point behind the Rowdies. A home match against Harrisburg is a good opportunity to put pressure on Tampa Bay.

Harrisburg has been eliminated from postseason contention, but will hope to play spoiler in its final match of 2017.

Pittsburgh Riverhounds vs. Rochester Rhinos
Saturday, 7 p.m. | WATCH HERE

Pittsburgh has already been eliminated from postseason contention, but can give the Rowdies a hand by getting a result against Charleston.

Rochester is on the verge of clinching its playoff berth and has a good chance of finishing in the top four and earning at least one home game. If the Rowdies win in San Antonio and Rochester drops points in Pittsburgh, the Rhinos can no longer finish above Tampa Bay.

Louisville City FC vs. Charlotte Independence
Saturday, 7:30 p.m. | WATCH HERE

Louisville doesn’t have much to play for in the final two matches of the season, with the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference already secured. With just one win in its last five matches, Louisville will hope to build a little more momentum before the playoffs.

Charlotte has been in free fall for the last few weeks, with three-consecutive losses that have seen the Independence slip from first to fourth. The team has a difficult end to the regular season, visiting Louisville and then a showdown against Charleston in the regular season finale.
