ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (September 15, 2017) — The Tampa Bay Rowdies don’t have a match this weekend, but it’s a busy weekend for their USL Eastern Conference rivals as the race to the playoffs tightens further.

Here are some of the key matches taking place around the East this weekend…

Charleston Battery vs. Richmond Kickers
Saturday, September 16, 7 p.m. | WATCH HERE

Charleston sits in the top half of the Eastern Conference playoff field, a spot that guarantees at least one home playoff game. The Rowdies are behind Charleston only on goal difference and will hope the gaps doesn’t grow this weekend.

Richmond sits in 14th of 15 teams in the Eastern Conference, but is trending upward. The Kickers only have six wins in 27 games all season, but three of those have come in their last five matches.

FC Cincinnati vs. New York Red Bulls II
Saturday, September 16, 7 p.m. | WATCH HERE

FC Cincinnati sits in the current playoff field, but by a margin of just two points. The team will have to forget its last meeting with New York, a lopsided 4-0 defeat on August 19.

The defending champions are unbeaten in six games and have moved up to sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings. A win would see them move level on points with the Rowdies, but Tampa Bay will have two game in hand by the end of the weekend.

Pittsburgh Riverhounds vs. Rochester Rhinos
Saturday, September 16, 7 p.m. | WATCH HERE

Pittsburgh is only two points out of the playoff field in 10th place and could make a major statement with a win this weekend. The Riverhounds have lost just twice in their last 11 matches.

Rochester dropping points in Pennsylvania this weekend would suit the Rowdies well, as they currently sit in third place. The Rhinos are only point ahead of the Rowdies and will play their game in hand this weekend.
