Tampa Bay Rowdies 1 - 0 Orlando City B
Al Lang Stadium, St. Petersburg, Fla.
The narrow scoreline belies the fact that the Rowdies dominated the match from the very start, outshooting Orlando City B 21 to 3 on an exciting night in St. Petersburg.
Georgi Hristov scored the only goal of the night from the penalty spot in the 57th minute.
Louisville City FC 0 - 0 Saint Louis FC
Louisville Slugger Field, Louisville, Kentucky
Both teams had to settle for a point on opening day, though Louisville might feel it deserved more from the match, given the fact that it earned a whopping 16 corner kicks and took six shots on goal, compared to two corner kicks and zero shots on goal for Preki's Saint Louis FC.
Pittsburgh Riverhounds 3 - 3 New York Red Bulls II
Highmark Stadium, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Pittsburgh opened the USL season with an impressive result, holding the defending USL Cup champions to a 3-3 draw despite falling behind three times. Three former Tampa Bay Rowdies, Corey Hertzog, Gale Agbossoumonde and Rich Balchan, all started for the Hounds, with Hertzog scoring twice.
