ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (March 23, 2017) -- Each week throughout the United Soccer League season, check here for a preview of a few key games involving Eastern Conference opponents.

Tampa Bay Rowdies vs Orlando City B

The Rowdies are set for their United Soccer League debut Saturday night against Orlando City B. Eleven holdovers from last year’s roster, including Joe Cole and Georgi Hristov, have been joined by high-profile newcomers like Marcel Schäfer and Deshorn Brown.

Orlando City B squeaked into the playoffs last year as the eighth seed and was promptly bounced in the first round by Red Bull II.

Louisville City FC vs Saint Louis FC

Louisville City FC finished last season with a disappointing loss to New York Red Bulls II in the Eastern Conference Final, so James O’Connor’s team should be raring to get 2017 underway.

Saint Louis FC switched over from the Western Conference last year and will have to adapt to life in the Eastern Conference along with the other two newcomers, the Tampa Bay Rowdies and Ottawa Fury FC. With a new head coach in Preki, Saint Louis FC has high expectations for this year.

Pittsburgh Riverhounds vs New York Red Bulls II

Pittsburgh has a tough task on opening day, welcoming the defending USL Cup champions to Highmark Stadium. The Riverhounds kept a consist corps of players from last season’s team which finished 10th in the Eastern Conference with just a few additions.

New York raced to a league-high 69 points last regular season and dominated the Swope Park Rangers in a 5-1 USL Cup Final win.
