Tampa Bay Rowdies Unveil 2014 Official Jerseys
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The Tampa Bay Rowdies released their full 2014 uniform sets Friday night in a grand gala at the Mahaffey Theater.
For the first time, the Rowdies uniforms now feature a primary shirt sponsor front and center, with Seminole Hard Rock Tampa joining the Rowdies family. The iconic Rowdies wordmark has moved to the upper left chest area to make way for Seminole Hard Rock Tampa’s purple logo.
The primary and secondary kits are traditional Rowdies designs. The white primary jersey includes a green Rowdies wordmark and features green and gold hooped sleeves with a green crew neck and green hemming. With Admiral’s attention to detail, the green sleeve hoops are sewn with gold stitching and the gold hoops with green stitching.
On all three jerseys, the left sleeve is adorned with both a North American Soccer League patch and an American flag. This is the first modern Rowdies jersey to include an American flag.
The secondary jersey is green with hooped sleeves and a yellow crewneck and hem.
The Rowdies’ new alternate kit is sunshine gold with green sleeve and waist hems. The Rowdies wore similar gold uniforms in 1992 when both current General Manager Perry Van Der Beck and Head Coach Ricky Hill were on the team as Rowdies players.
All jerseys can be paired with either green or white shorts, as well as green socks with yellow hoops or yellow socks with green hoops. The alternate jerseys will be worn with green shorts and solid green socks.
Rowdies goalkeepers will have a choice between navy blue or black uniforms, depending on opponents’ colors.
