FC Tampa Bay today announced that it has added defender/midfielder Justin Morrow (5-9, 165) on loan from the San Jose Earthquakes of Major League Soccer, pending USSF approval, for the next few weeks.
Morrow arrived in Tampa Thursday morning and is expected to be available for tonight's match against Bolton Wanderers at Al Lang Stadium at 7:30 p.m.
Morrow, who was selected in the second round of the 2010 MLS SuperDraft, will join FC Tampa Bay on loan for the second straight season after seeing action with the club last September. Morrow, who played collegiately at Notre Dame and served as team captain, appeared in three games for San Jose during the 2010 season as well as one match thus far this season. Morrow will wear jersey number 25.
