Posted on Wed, Jun 15, 2011

FC Tampa Bay returned to Shimberg Fields Wednesday morning as it began to wrap up preparations for this Saturday's road match against the league-leading Carolina RailHawks in Cary, North Carolina.

Kickoff on Saturday night, June 18 is set for 7:00 p.m. at WakeMed Park and the match can be seen live here at www.fctampabay.com.

The match will mark the third meeting between the teams this season, but the first in North Carolina. The RailHawks downed FC Tampa Bay 3-1 on May 7 at Al Lang Stadium and then held on for a 2-1 win on June 4 in St. Petersburg. Midfielder Pascal Millien scored FCTB's lone goal in the first match and forward Mike Ambersley converted a penalty kick in the loss on June 4.

FC Tampa Bay is coming off an exciting 3-2 win over Atlanta on Sunday night at Al Lang Stadium, with forward Aaron King scoring the game-winner in the 86th minute. Carolina's Matt Watson scored in the 53rd minute in the RailHawks 1-0 victory last Friday night in Edmonton, where they extended their winning streak to seven matches and their unbeaten streak to 10.

INJURY UPDATES
Defender JP Rodrigues, who underwent knee surgery last Tuesday, missed practice this morning and is not expected to be available this Saturday. Rodrigues is still hopeful to return sometime in June.

Midfielder Chad Burt is still day-to-day with a foot injury. Burt did light work at practice today and is questionable for this Saturday's match against the RailHawks.

JARUN GETS CALL-UP TO PALESTINIAN NATIONAL TEAM
Defender Omar Jarun has been selected by the Palestinian Soccer Federation to participate in their upcoming 2014 World Cup qualifiers. Jarun will leave on June 17 to join the National Team for training, with the squad slated to play qualifiers on June 29 and July 3.
