FC Tampa Bay will be recognized along with the other Bay area teams in celebrating sports in Tampa Bay at the inaugural Tampa Bay Sneaker Soiree: A Celebration of Excellence in Sports Business.
The event, which takes place this Thursday, June 2 at TPepin’s Hospitality Centre, is hosted by the Tampa Bay Sport Commission and honors organizations, individuals, athletes, facilities and campaigns that demonstrate excellence in sports.
FC Tampa Bay Owner and President Andrew Nestor is nominated for the Young Executive of the Year Award and Director/Owner David Laxer is one of the finalists for Community Sports Leader of the Year.
FC Tampa Bay is also nominated in several team categories, including Season Ticketing/Marketing Campaign of the Year, Professional Special Event of the Year and Website of the Year Award.
Sports legend Dick Vitale will be presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award and former University of Florida football star and current television personality Jesse Palmer will be serving as the Master of Ceremonies. The awards ceremony will be televised on Bright House Sports Network and will air live on 620 WDAE.
