2010 Series:
FCTB went 1-1 against Carolina last season

What’s at Stake:
FC Tampa Bay takes on the Carolina RailHawks this Saturday in their first meeting of the season. Last year FCTB went 1-1-0 against the RailHawks. The first match was a 2-1 win for FCTB at Carolina (5/14) and the second match was a 2-1 loss for FCTB in Tampa Bay (8/25).

Notes:
Both teams are coming off of 1-1 draws last Saturday. FCTB took on the Atlanta Silverbacks at Al Lang Stadium. Atlanta defender Willie Hunt found the back of the net just before the end of the first half off a free kick from Mario Perez, giving Atlanta the 1-0 advantage at halftime. FCTB forward Mike Ambersley scored a pivotal goal in the 74th minute, giving FCTB the draw. Goalkeeper Jeff Attinella made his professional debut in relief of Daryl Sattler, who was injured in the 10th minute, and posted three saves. For the match, FCTB held a 20-10 advantage in shots.

The Carolina RailHawks tied against the Minnesota Stars at the National Sports Center in Blaine, Minnesota. Carolina forward Etienne Barbara scored off of a penalty kick in the 58th minute. With the goal, Barbara became the first player in club history to score a goal in four straight matches, and he is tied atop the North American Soccer League in goals scored. The Stars answered just nine minutes later when forward Simone Bracalello ripped a shot from 12 yards out that got past Carolina goalkeeper Brad Knighton to tie the game 1-1.

Sattler suffered a torn ACL in his right knee Saturday night against Atlanta and will be sidelined for the remainder of the 2011 season. Sattler started each of the first four games for the team and posted two shutouts, both against the Montreal Impact.  He was named North American Soccer League Defender of the Week following FC Tampa Bay’s 0-0 tie at Montreal in Week Three. Attinella will make his first career start against Carolina.
