Posted on Thu, Oct 18, 2012

The Rowdies continued their preparation for the NASL Soccer Bowl on Thursday morning with a two-hour training session at Al Lang Stadium in St. Petersburg, looking ahead to the first leg of the finals against the Stars at Minnesota on Saturday, October 20 at 8:30 p.m(ET).

The Tampa Bay Rowdies played to a 3-3 draw against Carolina on Saturday night, advancing to the NASL Soccer Bowl on an aggregate score of 5-4.

“We came out today working hard on our style of play and maintaining possession of the ball,” said Head Coach Ricky Hill. “Last Saturday’s game was a euphoric one, but we don’t want to make the same defensive mistakes this Saturday. The team has been practicing hard throughout the entire week, and they are anxious to get out on the pitch.”

Midfielder/Forward Luke Mulholland talked about his decisive goal in the semifinals against Carolina, as well as facing his ex-teammates from Minnesota in the NASL Soccer Bowl Finals.

The Rowdies will host Minnesota in the second leg of the NASL Soccer Bowl on Saturday, October 27 at Al Lang Stadium at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available starting at $12. For more information and for discounted tickets, call our front office at 813.287.1539 or log on to RowdiesSoccer.com.
