Rowdies Announce New Hire and Promotions
Posted on Wed, Oct 17, 2012

The Tampa Bay Rowdies announced today the hiring of Arden Robbins as Chief Revenue Officer. Robbins will oversee all corporate partnership development, service and activation, as well as manage tickets sales and business development personnel. Robbins has previously worked for the Tampa Bay Lightning and the St. Pete Times Forum (now the Tampa Bay Times Forum) as VP of Corporate Partnerships, as well as in senior sales director positions including PGA Tour events.

“The Rowdies are an iconic brand in Tampa Bay and the world of soccer,” said Robbins. “The potential to grow our business and to create our niche in the market is very strong and being a part of that will be very special.  It doesn't hurt that the Rowdies are playing for their second NASL Championship here in Tampa Bay on October 27.”

The Rowdies have also promoted Lee Cohen to Chief Operating Officer. Cohen, previously Director of Operations, oversees all soccer-related business operations such as event production, team travel and gameday stadium operations. Cohen will now also oversee the marketing, communications, and community relations departments. Cohen has been with the Rowdies since the 2010 inaugural season. Prior to joining the Rowdies, Cohen worked for United Soccer Leagues as Director of PDL Operations where he coordinated all the components of league operations and provided strategic planning for all 68 clubs throughout the eight divisions in the league.

The Rowdies also promoted Ryan Helfrick to Vice President of Sales, overseeing all ticket sales and service, stadium club and premium seating sales and service, and also assisting in sponsorship sales, service and activation. Helfrick joined the Rowdies in the 2010 inaugural season as a ticket sales representative, being promoted in 2011 to Director of Sales. Helfrick previously worked at FC Dallas for two years, starting out as an inside sales representative and later promoted to senior account executive.  As senior account executive, Helfrick designed and developed strategic ticket partnerships with local youth soccer leagues, clubs and associations.

The Rowdies will host Minnesota in the second leg of the NASL Soccer Bowl on Saturday, October 27 at Al Lang Stadium at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available starting at $12. For more information and for discounted tickets, call our front office at 813.287.1539 or log on to RowdiesSoccer.com.
