With just three days remaining until the 2011 season opener, FC Tampa Bay returned to Shimberg Fields for a two-hour workout Wednesday morning. The team will hold its first practice at Al Lang Stadium this Thursday, April 7 from 10 a.m. until Noon and the session is open to the general public.

The club will hold its final workout of the week on Friday morning at Shimberg Fields prior to the home opener this Saturday, April 9 at 7 p.m. at Al Lang Stadium against the Montreal Impact.

FC TAMPA BAY SIGNS SHANE HILL

FC Tampa Bay today announced that it has signed midfielder/defender Shane Hill. Hill,  who hails from London and is the son of head coach Ricky Hill, previously saw time with the Rushden Diamonds and Sheffield United. He joined FC Tampa Bay as a trialist this preseason.

Hill also was a part of the initial group that trained with FC Tampa Bay trialists at the Liverpool Academy Grounds in December of 2009. That group included current FCTB midfielder Mozzi Gyorio.
