The Tampa Bay Rowdies and PriceWhispers today announced a partnership to offer fans the opportunity to name their price on an Ultimate Rowdies package or upgrade their seats at Al Lang Stadium. This service is available immediately for Tampa Bay’s annual July 4th showdown with the Ft. Lauderdale Strikers next Wednesday, July 4th. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. in downtown St. Petersburg and fans are invited to stay after the game to watch the City of St. Petersburg’s fireworks from the field.
Fans can visit RowdiesSoccer.com to submit their bid for the Ultimate Rowdies experience, which includes field side seats, behind the scenes access and more. There is also an opportunity for fans to upgrade from General Admission seats, which start as low as $10, to Field Side seats, which are valued at $45 per game.
“PriceWhispers has been a leader in the entertainment industry in regard to innovative pricing options, and we are excited to offer this service to our fans,” said Rowdies Owner/President Andrew Nestor. “We believe that this partnership with PriceWhispers will help drive fan engagement and a great game experience.”
A limited number of tickets and packages are available to bid on, and the highest price commitments for available tickets will be accepted.
“We are excited to launch our service with the Rowdies, giving fans a unique opportunity," said Neil FitzGerald, Founder and Principal at PriceWhispers. “The growing PriceWhispers community has made it clear that sports is an area where they would like to participate in pricing decisions.”
PriceWhispers, established in 2009, has created a new paradigm of engaged buying by empowering consumers to name their own price commitments via integrated interfaces in team web sites, facebook pages or via mobile apps. Based on analytic models from Cornell University, PriceWhispers enables live-event ticket sellers to engage the market directly on pricing, learn more about their consumers via a built-in reporting & analytics module, increase positive brand association (especially with Gen X and Gen Y) and increase revenues and profits.
