The second annual Tampa Bay Sneaker Soiree will be held this Thursday night, May 31 and the Rowdies will be honored as one of the best amongst Tampa Bay’s professional and college sports organizations.
The Rowdies have been named an award finalist in four different categories. Rowdies Owner/President and General Manager Andrew Nestor is one of the nominees for the 2012 Executive of the Year Award, presented by Humana, as well as the 2012 Young Executive of the Year Award, presented by Northwestern Mutual North Tampa. Nestor joins other sports leaders such as Tampa Bay Rays Executive Vice President of Baseball Operations Andrew Friedman and Tampa Bay Lightning Chief Executive Officer and Alternate Governor Tod Leiweke as finalists for the 2012 Executive of the Year honor.
The Rowdies are also finalists for two team awards. The Rowdies Return and Rowdies Rush Preseason Tour campaigns are among the nominees for Season Ticket/Marketing Campaign of the Year, presented by Bright House Sports Network and Tampa Digital Studios. The Rowdies are also up for the Fan Experience of the Year award, presented by Modern Business Associates and 620 WDAE, because of the major improvements in the fan experience this season at Al Lang Stadium.
The evening will include a pre-function VIP party, dinner, drinks and a televised awards ceremony. During the event, awards will be given to recognize organizations, individuals, athletes, facilities, and campaigns that have demonstrated excellence in sports throughout the Tampa Bay community. The second Annual Tampa Bay Sneaker Soiree will benefit the Tampa Bay Sports Commission, a local non-profit organization which strives to impact the area both socially and economically through sports.
The second annual Tampa Bay Sneaker Soiree will honor the best in Tampa Bay, and the Rowdies are proud to be a major part of that sports landscape.
