The highly-anticipated launch of the official 2012 line of Tampa Bay Rowdies merchandise took place Friday night at a private event for Rowdies season ticket holders at team partner Jonny Reno's on the Pier in St. Petersburg.

Season ticket holders had an exclusive opportunity to see the new merchandise first, including the new Tampa Bay Rowdies match kits. Head coach Ricky Hill introduced Rowdies players Andres Arango, Stuart Campbell, Frankie Sanfilippo and Takuya Yamada, who unveiled the new kits to the fans. Following the release of the new gear, the entire team signed autographs and took photos with Rowdies season ticket holders.

The 2012 Rowdies Home and Away Kits are throwbacks to the 1975-1984 Rowdies, featuring the Rowdies logo across the chest with the Rowdies famous Green and Gold hooped sleeves and socks. The back of the jersey features the words Tampa Bay under the collar and the left sleeve features the North American Soccer League logo. The kit numbers include the custom Rowdies font.

Team partners Mainsail Suites and United World Soccer are also featured on the kits. This year's kits stay true to the tradition and iconic look of the Rowdies, Tampa Bay’s first-ever professional sports franchise.

The new gear, which is now available for purchase at www.RowdiesSoccer.com, will also be on sale at Al Lang Stadium on gameday and various locations throughout the Bay Area. The merchandise includes something for Rowdies fans of all ages. This year’s kits are once again produced by Lotto, the official kit supplier for the team.
