Rowdies Train at Chargers Soccer Club
Posted on Wed, Mar 21, 2012

The Rowdies headed out in the community once again Tuesday night as they held a practice session at the Countryside Sportsplex and were hosted by Chargers Soccer Club.

The team worked out for one hour at the complex in front of an energetic crowd, focusing on technical work as well as small-side scrimmage during the session.

“I think it is important for the youth clubs to support the local professional teams and we try to do that each year,” said Rob O’Nan, President of Chargers Soccer Club. “It gives the kids something to aspire to and lets them know that there is a higher level for them to reach if they put the work in and the time and effort.”

Chargers Soccer Club will welcome the Rowdies back again next Wednesday, March 28 when Tampa Bay meets Saint Leo at 7:00 p.m., presented by United World Soccer.

“We were delighted to come out and see all of the youth from Chargers Soccer Club,” said Rowdies head coach Ricky Hill. “They have an excellent facility here and it was fantastic to see the number of youth players stay and watch the players train. It has been a great experience for us.”
