The Tampa Bay Rowdies today announced an exclusive partnership with Town and Country Hospital and Westchase Orthopaedic & Rehabilitation, making the award-winning facilities the official physicians and hospital of the Tampa Bay Rowdies. The medical team will be led by Patrick Horan, M.D., Board certified sports orthopaedic surgeon.
“Town & Country Hospital looks to provide the residents of Tampa Bay with quality healthcare close to home. Throughout our 30 years of service, our focus has always been our commitment to our community,” said Town & Country Hospital’s Administrator, Dale Johns. “We are proud to partner with the Rowdies; they have been a part of the Tampa community for many years. In 1975, during the Rowdies inaugural year, the league required them to make public appearances and serve as ambassadors to the sport. Over the years they have done just that and have made soccer a popular sport in Central Florida. They continue to give back to the community and fans. We look forward to partnering with a team that shares the same vision as Town and Country Hospital.”
“We are thrilled to enter into this partnership with Dr. Horan and the entire medical team at Town and Country Hospital and Westchase Orthopaedic & Rehabilitation,” said Rowdies President/Owner Andrew Nestor. “The doctors are among the best in their respective fields and our club is ecstatic that we will be in such good hands. This partnership is a big leap forward for the Rowdies, and will extend beyond our basic medical needs, focusing on a combined effort to further develop our brands and our impact in the Tampa Bay community.”
As part of the agreement, the Town & Country Hospital logo and the Westchase Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation logo will be prominently featured on the Rowdies official Event Jersey, which is the team’s uniform jersey for all games during the Rowdies Preseason Tour, official warm-up jersey for all Regular Season and Playoff games, worn for all public practices, Rowdies Night Practices at local youth clubs, and various camps, clinics and other grassroots player appearances. The Event Jersey will be available for purchase, along with the new 2012 Rowdies kits, beginning in March.
The hospital and rehabilitation center will also sponsor the Save of the Game for all home games as well as the Save of the Month, which will feature a success story of a life that has been saved in the past year.
Dr. Horan, along with the medical team, will provide Team Physician and Team Athletic Trainer services to the Rowdies, as well as other medical services to the club, including diagnostic and hospital services.
