FC Tampa Bay will host FC Edmonton in its 2012 home opener on Saturday, April 14 at Al Lang Stadium in St. Petersburg, the North American Soccer League announced on Monday.

On the previous weekend, FC Tampa Bay travels to Puerto Rico on Saturday, April 7 as part of the opening slate of games for the NASL’s 2012 campaign.

The other 2012 season openers on April 7 include Carolina at defending champion NSC Minnesota in a match that will be played at the Metrodome. The opening weekend also features Atlanta hosting the expansion San Antonio Scorpions and 2011 runner-up Ft. Lauderdale playing a home contest against FC Edmonton.
