Scott Buete Spending Off-Season In MISL
Posted on Wed, Dec 1, 2010

FC Tampa Bay's Scott Buete is spending his off-season playing for the in-season Major Indoor Soccer League's Baltimore Blast. The Baltimore Blast has been a MISL powerhouse since the team’s inception in 1980. The Blast have won five national titles, with the most recent coming in 2009 against the Rockford Rampage. Baltimore has started out this season with a bang, with two victories against the Omaha Vipers (15-10) and the Chicago Riot (10-6).

Buete has played with the Blast in more than 50 matches over the past three seasons, and scored his first goal for the Blast on November 16, 2007 against La Raza. This season, Buete has recorded one assist and one block in two games, which brings up his career totals to nine assists and 24 blocks.  Buete has proven to be invaluable to the Blast with solid season-after-season performances and even helped lead the team to two national titles in his three seasons.

Buete will be rejoining FC Tampa Bay for the 2011 season after the Blast's season closes in March 2011.
